P.S. in articles such as Nogometno prvenstvo Jugoslavije – 3. ligaški rang 1958./59. (didn't check if there were more articles) there's an Istrian club called Pula. Pula and Uljanik Pula merged to form a joint club. @Ame71, page 10, June 20th contains an interesting quote from Lokomotiva's club president Blagoje Petković: "Kod igrača, kao i članova uprave postigli smo potpunu homogenost, koje nije bilo neposredno posle objedinjivanja Dinama i Železničara" = "We managed to achieve homogeneity among the players and board members which didn't exist shortly after the unification of Dinamo and Železničar".

It seems that Železničar Niš and Dinamo Niš united to form a joint club called Lokomotiva, which I assume changed its name back to Železničar the following season. There is probably a record of the unification and name changing in the newspaper. Lokomotiva Niš defeated Sloboda Titovo Užice 2:1. The game was later awarded to Sloboda Titovo Užice (3:0???) due to a Lokomotiva Niš player being incorrectly registered. I am not sure if the number is referring to the Eastern group only or the entire qualification competition. @Ame71, New Year, 1960, page 16: Lokomotiva Niš changed its name to Železničar Niš sometime in December 1959. This should be added in FK Železničar Niš and Nogometno prvenstvo Jugoslavije – 3. ligaški rang 1959./60. I'll search for news of Dinamo's and Železničar's unification later. I'll go to sleep now. Železničar changed its name to Lokomotiva sometime between April 21st 1958 (match with Bor mentioned in Boor's book, the name probably stayed the same until the end of the season as the club is called Železničar in the final table presented in Bor's book and September 20th 1958 when the club was called Lokomotiva. I believe that Dinamo Niš merged with Železničar Niš somewhere during 1957. Look at page 24 of Bor's book. In the 1956/57 season Železničar finished 1st and Dinamo 2nd. No club was promoted. The clubs might've fused inorder to increase their chances of promotion. Dinamo is nowhere to be found on next season's table. The number of clubs in the league shrank from 10 to 9.

My thoughts summarised:

1956: two seperate clubs, Dinamo and Železničar

1957: the two clubs fuse into Železničar

1958: Železničar changes its name to Lokomotiva
